British Red Cross
British Red Cross is the British branch of the International Red Cross organisation. The British Red Cross is one of the most well known charitable organisations in the UK today, with over 31,000 people volunteering their time to help in the provision of aid around the world. The Red Cross works tirelessly to provide help and assistance to those most in need, regardless of their race, religion or creed. Their motivation is unmatched and whenever tragedy strikes, the Red Cross immediately send all the assistance they can to help alleviate suffering.
The British Red Cross works both at home and abroad to combat poverty, raise awareness of domestic and national issues and help make the work a safer place. Their status as an expert organisation in vital areas such as child poverty, health and global development means they assist the government with many key law proposals. The research done by the organisation provides us with an important insight into the areas that we cannot afford to overlook, such as children’s health and safety. There are so many ways to support the British Red Cross through charitable donations and gifts, you only have to take a brief look at their website to see just how many options you have to provide assistance. All your donations go towards the sterling work done by the British Red Cross; work that simply wouldn’t be possible without your help.
A fine example of the work of the Red Cross in action has been in the dealing with the terrible earthquake in Haiti. The Red Cross is a global organisation, with members stationed in all the poorest countries of the world; however, when disasters stirke, skilled volunteers with teams of organised helpers immediately travel to the country in need and assist in recovery and reconstruction efforts when people are most in need. Obviously, this is a huge undertaking and requires a great deal of planning and manpower. Neither of these things are cheap and the British Red Cross relies on our donations to keep them running as well as possible, so that they can help so many people suffering around the world. Please do consider a donation to the British Red Cross; their tireless effort is an amazing example of compassion and humanity, and with our support, they can continue to grow and provide vital help to people in need across the globe.
