NSPCC
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is one of Britain’s largest charities with the specific aim of protecting children from cruelty within the home. Formed in 1884, the NSPCC has emerged as a vital instrument to the child care services of the UK. The NSPCC is the only charity in the UK which can legally apply for care and supervision orders of children who they believe to be at risk of sexual and domestic abuse.

At the heart of the NSPCC are their core values; to protect children from violence and exploitation, to care for and protect children, to respect their views, to encourage them to reach their potential, to treat them equally and to act as a person any child can turn to in times of crisis. By following these principals, the NSPCC is more than just an organisation protecting children. It is the backbone of childcare in our society, setting an example to all of us as to how we should treat children. Obviously, such a huge role in British society is a costly position to hold. The NSPCC is reliant on our donations and gifts to ensure they can carry out their job to the best of their abilities.
As would be expected from organisation working for such an important cause, the NSPCC has drawn support from a huge variation of celebrities. Heroes of sport, such as Alan Shearer, Amir Khan and Jonny Wilkinson have all pledged their support, whilst Kylie Minogue and Catherine Zeta-Jones are also ambassadors of the charity. Even with such amazing backing and publicity, the NSPCC requires donations from us all to make sure every child in the UK is safe from violence, sexual abuse and exploitation. Together we can make a huge difference to the lives of so many children trapped in abusive families. Please consider making a donation to this noble cause and show to everyone that we all care about the future of children everywhere.
