Practical Presents

Practical Action, originally the Intermediate Technology Development Group, works to bring sustainable solutions to impoverished communities in South and East Africa, Latin America and South Asia. They work to modernise poor areas with renewable energy, new technologies and the most efficient farming methods available. By striving to combat climate change and bring new technologies to these communities, specialised water treatment facilities and farming equipment increase the productivity of local farmers and helps avoid sickness. As the children grow up, they face a life of suffering, disease and crime. With Practical Aid’s help and your donations, these children get to grow up in thriving villages, where food is growing well and water is clean and readily available.

Practical Action has also helped set up sustainable transportation methods in remote areas in Third World countries. The ability to travel freely, along with the healthier populations and increased food supplies opens up a whole new world of trade and travel to work. All these things help areas to develop and grow, giving all the local residents the most important thing we all take for granted; choice and opportunities.
